At Sugar Bugs Pediatric Dentistry, we have designed our office with bright colors and friendly faces in our halls to help make your child feel comfortable.     Dr. Tandi is a Colorado native who grew up in the Golden/Arvada area, attended Wheat Ridge High School, and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1995. In 2004, she graduated cum laude from dental school at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and, in 2006, she completed her Pediatric Residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where she trained at Children’s and Texas Scottish Rite Hospitals. She received her degree of Master of Science in 2006 and became board certified in pediatric dentistry in 2007.

    Dr Julie grew up in Northern Virginia and completed her undergraduate study at the University of Virginia. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill. She has always had a gift and love for children and completed her pediatric specialty training at the Children’s Hospital (now known as Children’s Hospital Colorado). She became board certified in pediatric dentistry in 2007. Dr. Julie’s strong commitment to education and philosophy of treating every child as if they were her own has won her recognition from both her colleagues and the community. She was the recipient of the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for scoring in the top 3% on the national written board exam. Since 2008 to the current year, she has been voted annually by her peers as one of Colorado’s top pediatric dentists by 5280 magazine. Additionally, the office has been continuously voted by families as one of Colorado’s Top 5 pediatric dental offices by Colorado Parent magazine.

    Dr. Stormi is a Montana native who grew up on a cattle ranch outside of Miles City, Montana. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Montana State University and her DDS from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Though she fell in love with Colorado, she pursued her passion for pediatric dentistry through a two-year residency at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Go Bucks!), where she gained hands-on experience in behavior guidance, orthodontics, emergency trauma care, and more. She also completed an 18-month orthodontic curriculum through Progressive Orthodontics to further specialize in children’s growth and development. She earned her Master of Science in Dentistry and became board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2022.
